Editorial policy
Lasting Current Report aims to explain water and landscape clearly, distinguish what is known from what is uncertain, and correct the record when our wording falls short.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against dependable published material and review names, definitions and context before publication. We distinguish established description from interpretation, avoid unsupported precision and say when a question cannot be settled from the available information. Our articles are general education, not local forecasts or professional advice.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for reader relevance, not to secure favourable treatment for a partner. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, and partners do not approve independent editorial work.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or a misleading omission, use the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We assess the concern, correct substantive mistakes and make clear when a significant change affects the meaning. We do not promise a particular outcome before review.
Partnerships and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise commercially supported material is labelled clearly where it appears. Partner placements are separated from editorial coverage and identified as partner material. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are labelled, and they are not presented as documentary evidence.
A current is never just today’s news
Water has a long memory, even when the view seems unchanged. We look for the patterns beneath the moment, without mistaking an explanation for a forecast.
